About
This December Bath has its very own Christmas Tree festival.
The festival, in its Fourth year, is once again located in the historic buildings of the Bath Central United Reformed Church on Argyle Street Bath. a copious number of trees will be on display. Some trees are traditional. Others are creative or alternative takes on the seasonal tree. Each tree is placed by a community group, service club or charity. The decoration of each tree highlights the aims and purposes of the group decorating it. The festival will be a thing of beauty, an opportunity to learn about community groups, but beyond that it serves as an awareness and fund-raiser for Three important local charities – The Children's hospice south west, the rotary club of bathavon aqua box appeal and connect mentoring bath yfc. |
You mAY WONDER WHY it is necessary to fund-raise for three such worthy community groups. the reason is simple - cuts! KEY FUNDING PROVIDED TO CHARITIES BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND OTHER GRANT AWARDING BODIES HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY CUT IN RECENT MONTHS, THIS IMPACTING DRAMATICALLY ON THE IMPORTANT SUPPORT AND SERVICES PROVIDED TO PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY TODAY! SO BY VISITING THE festival, AND MAKING A VOLUNTARY DONATION, YOU CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO THE FAMILIES, CARERS AND SUFFERERS HELPED BY THE Two NOMINATED CHARITIES. With over £3300 raised, and more than 2010 visitors, we would love for you to join us in making this year even bigger and better. |
the festivaL runs from 5th TO 8TH DECEMBER and is OPEN DAILY FROM 12AM TO 4PM (5th, 8th) and 10am to 4pm (6th, 7th). refreshments are available.
